Bucket list - Skydive

I will make this one a quickie...

Just to say that I have actually booked the skydive! My fingers trembled as I submitted the details and haven't stopped since. In other words I am bricking it!

This has been on my bucket list (things to do before I die) ever since I can remember and, with thanks to some like minded colleagues, I am actually doing something about it.

I am jumping with some other crazies colleagues including my Managing Director who has a strange urge to jump when standing on the edge of places, he hopes this will help cure him of this irrational feeling.

This is all taking place on the 30th June (just waiting for confirmation of the date). I won't include the location as I don't want all my fans rushing to watch.

The important part and the entire reason for doing this is to raise money for Shooting Star Chase which is a fantastic charity. They are a children's hospice service, supporting local families with a child or teenager not expected to reach their 19th birthday. Shooting Star CHASE currently helps over 500 families living in western London, Surrey and West Sussex.
If you would like to help support this amazing charity please feel free to sponsor me - http://www.doitforcharity.com/KHenden

I have a lot of sleepless nights ahead!

Kat didn't get the cream as she isn't allowed :(

I have done a lot of reflection since my last post and made some positive steps. One of my pet hates is when people moan constantly about situations they have complete control over but are just too lazy to make the change needed. So with this in mind I am now following a super healthy diet. I think my stomach may still be in shock with the amount of fruit and vegetables it is receiving. Most of the time I think I am hungry I have a drink of water and it turns out I wasn't hungry at all. I have also started exercising again. Up until a week ago I was attending a super intensive boot camp three times a week but had to stop due to the pregnancy as the low impact version is just a waste of time. So on Thursday and Friday last week I had time off work and took my daughter out for ridiculous long walks. By Saturday my ankles started to swell a bit. Saturday was not a good day at all. I went on a mission to get a dress for my friend’s wedding that evening. Everything I tried on looke...

Summer week 22

What a week its been. Last saturday i managed to throw my back out cutting my hedges back. This was probably not the most intelligent thing i have ever done and probably not the kind of job a pregnant lady should be doing but it seemed like a good idea at the time. So for the last week i have been hobbling around like a 90 year old and it takes me a got 5 minutes to stand up from a seated position. The good thing that came out of this is that i now admit defeat and may start to take it easy like i have been told. I can't bear another week of pain like this. The worst part is that i cannot even take anything for the pain - not even deep heat. Had my nephew stay over on saturday night. He is only 5 but is one of the most enchanting kids i have ever met. So i got in some practice. Think Phil has some things to learn about patience but apart from that he is great with him too. Back to my baby and the news that everyone was waiting to hear (i suspect not). I had the scan yesterday an...

Do what makes you most happiest...

This is something I have long forgotten but something I am aiming to rectify. I have been looking inwardly for a while now as I realised I have lost myself a bit. I have spent so long being mum, wife, councillor, chauffer, chef, cleaner, dog walker business owner etc etc etc (you get the idea) that I don't really know who I am anymore or what makes me tick. My son asked me last Mothers day what I would like to do as it was 'my day' - I honestly couldn't answer and my 11 year old boy just said "that's really sad". He was absolutely right, that is sad! When did I just stop living my own life to serve everyone else? I like to paint and have recently made time to complete a run of adult paint by numbers to decorate my living room with. I also started doing acrylic paintings and watching some Bob Ross for inspiration. This is a good start but I'm not passionate about it. Today I remembered what I used to be passionate about and that was writing so I am back...
